Are you ready to jingle all the way around Lancaster for our famous fun run?

Come and join CancerCare's festive Santa Dash on Sunday 24th November (Lancaster Lights switch on) at 1.30pm in Market Square.

This fun-filled event starts with a 1-mile fun run around the city centre so dress up in your flashing Christmas jumpers and reindeer dust-powered trainers and join in the fun whether walking, jogging or running. Everyone will receive a Santa hat, medal and candy cane after completing their Santa Dash.

Our special guest Father Christmas and his elves have dashed in especially to visit Lancaster and see our jolly joggers. Your Santa Dash experience ticket also includes a group visit to Father Christmas and his elves in their grotto for a magical Christmas adventure where children can enjoy choosing a special gift from Santa’s workshop. Santa’s helpers are on hand to ensure each child gets to meet Santa for a picture, and they can also get the all-important Christmas list posted!

As a special treat, the child / family that raises the most sponsorship has the honour of switching on the Lancaster Christmas lights on stage with Father Christmas.

We would love our Santa Dash to be the biggest and best we’ve ever had as we need to continue raising vital funds to help support our community into 2025. So come along and join in the festive fun and build up to the lights switch on - you can choose to join the Santa Dash only, or stay and meet Father Christmas at our Santa Dash and Grotto Experience.
