Our RE-FRESH young people's support group have been getting in the mood for Christmas with loads of exciting stuff!
The group enjoyed a festive residential trip to Flynne’s Barn in the heart of the Lake District mountains, where they got to take part in a range of activities from feeding alpacas to making delicious homemade pizzas!
RE-FRESH were also kindly donated £480 from Groundwork which they used to make up special hampers for their families to enjoy at Christmas.
Finally, the Barrow and Kendal groups welcomed local candle craftswoman Lady of the Swans & Stars who led two workshops which involved learning how to hand-roll beeswax candles!
This is just a taste of the exciting things they get up to every week of the year, so if you know any young people aged 11-17 affected by cancer or bereavement at t home, contact refresh@cancercare.org.uk
