Join us this summer and experience the vastness of the sands of Morecambe Bay by starlight!
For our 40th anniversary CancerCare Cross Bay Walk we'll be offering you a truly unique perspective of the Bay as a later start time of 5.30pm will see walkers arriving in Grange-over-Sands as the sun begins to set over the stunning surroundings.
We have 500 places up for grabs on this year’s walk which will take place on Sunday 16th July and be led by local expert Michael Wilson from the Guide Over Sands Trust.
This will be the first time our Cross Bay Walk has taken place at night and we can’t wait to see how it looks when the twilight casts its spell over the Bay and surrounding Lakeland fells.
One thing is for sure… bring your camera!!!
The walk is around eight miles in length and walkers will depart from Arnside promenade at 5.30pm arriving at Grange at roughly 9.30pm.
The walk is one of the biggest events on the CancerCare calendar and raises thousands of pounds to help us provide vital mental health and well-being support for local people struggling to cope with a cancer diagnosis or bereavement.
