Cancer is very much in the news at the moment.
We are a charity that directly helps people in the communities we serve but having the word “cancer” in our name means we often get confused with larger organisations. These maps show the areas we serve, from urban centres in Lancaster and Barrow to rural hamlets in the Lake District and Dales.
The services CancerCare provide are delivered by fully qualified, experienced professional therapists and it costs us around £1.9m each year to provide support, compassion and care to your friends and loved ones.
Of that £1.9m, we have to raise around £1.7m ourselves which, as you can imagine, for a small, local charity is a huge undertaking.
Over the last 40 years we have been there for local people in desperate situations who have often had nowhere else to turn. We want to be there for the next 40 for men, women and children from Millom to Morecambe and thank you for your continued and valued support.
