Who We Are
Struggling to cope with a cancer diagnosis or the death of a loved one? CancerCare is here to help you and the people you care about every step of the way.
Get in touch
Whatever you are going through - whether it’s anxiety about your health, the sadness of loss or the side-effects of treatment – we are here to ensure you get the kindness and support you need, when you need it.
What is more, it won’t cost you a penny. All our services are provided free of charge so you won’t have to worry about paying for them on top of everything else you are dealing with.
The minute you pick up the phone or walk through the door, you’ll see why CancerCare has been the go-to charity for professional and compassionate support across the Morecambe Bay area for nearly 40 years.
A quick, informal chat with our friendly therapy referral team, so we can find out a bit more about you and what you need, and we’ll be able to recommend the right course of therapy for your own unique situation.
We aim to ensure this happens quickly and the average time between referral and first session of therapy is less than two weeks.
At CancerCare, we know that it won’t just be you that is struggling - your family could also be going through the mill - perhaps trying to be too strong or bottling up their emotions. That is why all our services are also open to your loved ones, again, completely free.
Mental health and physical well-being are even more important when coping with the trauma of serious illness or the anguish of grief. We have the empathy to understand and the skills to make a genuine difference to your quality of life.
