CancerCare Barrow

Opened in September 2020. The purpose-renovated centre situated in the town centre on Duke Street offers counselling, complementary therapy and specialist children’s services for people affected by cancer and bereavement.

CancerCare Barrow is a quiet centre with plenty of space for you to relax and experience the benefits of your chosen therapy.

There is no parking on-site, though there are carparks nearby and a handful of spaces directly outside the building. The centre is accessible and there is lift access should you need it.

Opening hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Tuesday, 9am - 7pm (Dependent on appointments) Wednesday, 9am - 6pm (Dependent on appointments) Thursday, 9am - 4pm Friday.

Our location:

If you are coming to our centre from the train station, walk up to the traffic lights and turn right onto Abbey Road, continue along abbey road until the roundabout, then turn left onto duke street. Continue along duke street to find CancerCare on the left side, across from Poole Townsend.

If you are arriving by car, take the A590 heading into Barrow. Continue straight past Asda on your left, then through the roundabout onto Hindpool Road – from here continue to the second set of traffic lights, carry straight on and then take the second left onto Cornwallis Street. Turn left onto Duke Street and continue to CancerCare on the right side, across from Poole Townsend.

If you are arriving by bus please get any bus to Barrow Town Hall. Walk away from town hall toward Ramsden Square to find CancerCare on the right side, across from Poole Townsend.
