Our super supporter Jane Reedy has had a very active April which saw her complete two awesome physical fundraising challenges in aid of CancerCare and Cancer Research,
Jane’s Rough Roads and Roses Challenge saw her cycle 170 miles from Lancaster to Bridlington – with pedal pals daughter Tess and friends Maria and Harry – and take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks fell race, a 23.3 mile route taking in Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
Jane undertook her feats of endurance to remember her mum, who passed away 25 years ago from ovarian cancer, and inspire individuals and families to raise money for charity.
“Having my loyal supporter Tess made it a really special day. I want to thank everyone for all the support during my challenges. During the run I thought of my mum a lot which helped me put one foot in front of another, and my dear friend Sue who’s also facing her own rollercoaster of an unchosen challenge,” said Jane.
Her initial target was £1,000 but she ended up raising over £1,600!
Thank you Jane, Tess, Harry and Maria for your support. You donation has contributed to helping us support local people facing a cancer diagnosis or bereavement.
