Husband and wife Stacey, and Stuart Smith from Ulverston are taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon this April!

Stacey is one of our incredible Aromatherapists at our Barrow centre and her husband Stuart, a local chef, has supported us in previous fundraising events including our sell-out Chef Show.

Stacey’s competitive edge and passion for trying new things has inspired her to take on the challenge. She couldn’t let her husband stand on the side lines with a brew, so he’s decided to dig out his trainers and hit the tracks!

“We’ve really enjoyed the training so far and are excited to head to London for the event. So far I’m up to 10 miles without stopping and I’m slowly but steadily getting my fitness up. Thank you to everyone that’s sponsored us so far,” said Stacey.

The couple have been logging their training runs on Facebook which has encouraged the support of friends, family and online supporters. Stacey and Stuart set a target of £400 and they’ve already smashed it by £100!
