Beacon of Light.” We’ve heard some lovely things said about CancerCare over the years but this is definitely one of the nicest.

In September, Natalie Love from Heysham will be joining our Scafell at Sunrise which will see her scale England’s highest mountain through the night and be on the summit in time to see the sun come up over the Lakes.

This will be a real challenge for Natalie, who is by no means a hardened hill walker, but she was determined to do something to say “thank you” to the charity as we have been supporting her family.

Natalie said: "The support CancerCare continues to provide for our family has been incredible. They have been a beacon of light in times that have felt very dark and lonely. Their provision of differing therapies, counselling and peer groups have been an invaluable resource helping myself and my children try to cope with the anxieties, uncertainties and grief we face.”

Natalie (pictured with her two lovely children Daniel and Matilda) is one inspirational lady and her fundraising page has already raised nearly £500. If you would like to read more about her, and make a contribution, click here
