The team at Jacobs Field Solutions took on the Gladiator Gelt, raising money for CancerCare and Alder Hey charities.

The West Cumbria-based business donated just under £1,000 to CancerCare, which will fund approximately 30 one-to-one counselling sessions for clients.

The support we receive from local businesses is vital to ensure we can continue to support those affected by cancer, life-shortening illnesses, or those bereaved by cancer, life-shortening illness, sudden or unexpected death.

“CancerCare is a charity very close to our hearts: not just as a company, but also because supporting those less fortunate is something very personal to each of us,” said Harry Basnett from Jacobs. “Cancer affects around 3,000,000 people in the UK currently, meaning that’s 3,000,000 families who are placed in difficult situations day in day out. We believe that even by doing something small, our message, and the money we raise can go a long way to helping those less fortunate.
