Here at CancerCare, we're always keeping an eye out for new and innovative technology we can utilise in our services.

Recently, we welcomed a new deep oscillation machine which will be used by trained massage therapists. The deep oscillation machine was kindly funded by The Roselands Trust.

The deep oscillation machine works through massage at a deeper tissue layer than massage alone can reach. As well as aiding relaxation and providing pain relief, it helps with lymphoedema and scar massage, meaning it will benefit a huge number of our clients.

It has clinically proven physiological benefits such as reducing pain and inflammation, reabsorbing swelling, encouraging wound healing, fibrosis reduction, improving trophicity, rubor reduction, improving quality of tissue and detoxification.

It can be used in combination with routine surgery aftercare in oncology, and due to its gentle effect it is used as a first line therapy for conditions including mastectomy.

The Roselands Trust is a small independent grant making charity based in South Lakeland which supports organisations throughout Cumbria and North Lancashire. Without The Roselands Trust's support, our clients wouldn't be able to benefit from this innovative, non-invasive technology.
