We never cease to be amazed at how much our local community think about us.

Recently, we appealed for donations of items for our Boobie Bags which contain a variety of handy and comforting things for people being treated for breast cancer and using lymphatic drainage techniques.

We were overwhelmed by the number of kind donations we received, including the 187 lip balms and 12 hand creams given to us by Tropic Ambassador Emma Stoney from Lancaster.

Emma said: "A lovely customer made me aware of the collection for Boobie Bags and knew I wanted to contribute. Both Tropic Ambassadors and Customers in the Lancaster, Ingleton and Chorley area were eager to donate to this valuable project. We have all had periods in our life where either our loved ones or ourselves have experienced the effects of cancer so the least we could do is contribute a few Lip Loves and Hand Creams!"

Thanks very much Emma and everyone who has contributed. The Boobie Bags have been a great success and we are now looking at doing something similar for people undergoing chemo, as well as lymphatic drainage. We are ok for lip balms for a while, but, if you would like to donate any hand creams, hand gels, packs of tissues etc, we’d love to hear from you.
