CancerCare’s Engagement Officer Sarah Drake gave another guest lecture to students at the University of Cumbria this December.

Sarah covered the issues surrounding a long-term diagnosis and the impact cancer can have on mental and physical health in the aftermath of a diagnosis.

Our small engagement team works hard to promote our services within the community and their work ensures CancerCare is seen as something as a regional centre of excellence in the field of complementary therapy.

Sarah’s lived experience of cancer also provided students with a viewpoint they may not always get during their studies.
