On Saturday 8th June, Barrow-in-Furness welcomed over 40,000 bikers who had travelled from all over the country to honour the memory of Hairy Biker, Dave Myers.

The TV chef and proud Barrovian inspired thousands of locals to line the streets of Barrow to cheer on the riders.

Barrow Market Hall hosted CancerCare’s information table, and Engagement Officer, Mai spent the afternoon sharing in the celebrations.

Locals and visitors alike learned about the vital work we do in our local community supporting those coping with a cancer diagnosis, life-shortening illness or bereavement.
