If you are joining us on our Chapel Island Walk next month, we’d definitely recommend you pack a pair of binoculars in your rucksack!

The island, and surrounding area, is known for its abundance of bird life including interesting species such as Black Kites, Rosy Starlings, Common Rosefinches, Hooded Crows, Western Osprey, Swans, Ducks and many more!

At this time of year, the island is also home to number of nesting birds so we will be respecting this by keeping a safe distance of 250 metres and asking you to keep dogs on leads. While we may not be able to walk on the island itself, our expert guide Ray Porter will be on hand to point out anything of interest!

Thank you for your understanding.
