Our Individual Giving expert Anna Webster raised CancerCare’s profile on a national stage this week.

On Thursday, Anna gave a presentation at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Legacy Conference highlighting the work she has been doing to implement a bespoke Legacy Strategy for the charity.

She was invited to speak after organisers picked up on the story of a client who left us some money via a LinkedIn post earlier this month, and they thought it was such a strong story they asked us to give the conference a smaller charity’s perspective in the subject.

Other guest speakers included Alzheimer's UK so it was fantastic for us to be showcased alongside a national charity.

Anna said: “Being invited to be a speaker at the conference was a real privilege and I was really proud to represent CancerCare, particularly as a smaller, local charity. Gifts in Wills are really important to CancerCare and it was great to be able to share that with other fundraising professionals from across the UK and around the world! I have had some really lovely messages from other small charities saying they are inspired by what CancerCare do.”
