Heysham was filled with family festival fun on the summer bank holiday weekend thanks to the return of the popular AlannaFest to Heysham Cricket Club.
Stella and Katie Duffy organise the annual festival in memory of Alanna Duffy, who passed away from Acute Myloid Leukemia in 2008, and use it to celebrate her life and raise money for CancerCare.
This year’s event, the first after a two year break due to Covid, raised £5,200 for us and we couldn’t thank the Duffy family enough for their continuous support.
“I love it when we take the money into CancerCare that we have raised on the day. The staff are so grateful and thankful. This is our way to giving bank and I know my daughter Alanna would be so proud of us all and my team that help us to raise money for this worthy cause,” said Stella.
