CancerCare’s mission is to help local people who need it. For over 40 years, we’ve been supporting adults and children going through some of the most challenging times imaginable. We want to encourage the younger generation to do their bit in their local communities, too. That’s why we created the Community Care Badge, an initiative designed to help children and young people understand the importance of supporting others in need while making a positive impact in their community.
When you sign up for CancerCare’s Community Care Badge, you commit to completing three tasks and fundraise a minimum total of £5 for CancerCare.
The three tasks are:
Task 1 - Tell us about a time you have helped someone
- We want to know about a time you helped someone in your local community. This could include a member of your family, a friend, a teacher or even a stranger who you’ve been there for when they needed it.
Task 2 - Plan a fundraiser for CancerCare
- To earn your Community Care badge we need you to spread the word about CancerCare and plan a fundraiser where you will need to raise a minimum of £5 per person.
Task 3 - Tell us about your fundraiser
- Once you have completed your fundraiser we would love to hear about your experience. There will be a page in your pack to tell us about this.
Once all three tasks are complete participants can claim their badge using the link below. If you are a community group, you can claim via the link below or our Community Fundraisers can arrange presenting the badges to the group.
If you are a community group interested in taking part in this challenge please fill in the sign up form below and a member of CancerCare’s Fundraising Team will be in touch with you about arranging a presentation with your local group.
