Coping with bereavement
At CancerCare, we understand that the death of a loved one can change your life in unimaginable ways. Grief can feel overwhelming, and navigating the emotions that follow can be incredibly isolating — but you are not alone.
We offer support to adults who have experienced a bereavement due to cancer, a life-shortening illness, or sudden and unexpected death. For children and young people, our services extend to those grieving the loss of someone close, no matter the cause.
Our support is free and tailored to your individual needs. We offer professional counselling and complementary therapies designed to meet you where you are in your grieving process. Our experienced therapists provide a safe and confidential space where you can express your feelings and have your needs heard and respected without judgement.
In addition to one-to-one sessions, we also offer group support, where you can connect with others who are going through similar experiences. We provide opportunities for creative expression and connection, helping you find a sense of community and healing.
