Coping with life-shortening illness

If you are living with a life‑shortening illness, or supporting someone who is, CancerCare is here to help.

In addition to supporting people affected by cancer and bereavement, we provide specialist emotional support for those coping with a life‑shortening illness. This includes conditions that are expected to reduce life expectancy, such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis.

If you are unsure whether your diagnosis, or that of someone close to you, is eligible for support, our team is happy to talk things through and offer guidance.

We offer counselling, complementary therapies and group support, tailored to your individual circumstances. Our focus is on offering comfort, understanding and practical support during this challenging time.
