Coping with life-shortening illness

Are you living with a life-shortening illness, or has someone you love received a diagnosis? CancerCare is here to support you.

In addition to helping people affected by cancer or bereavement from sudden and unexpected death, we also provide support for those coping with a life-shortening illness, sometimes referred to as a terminal illness.

A life-shortening illness is a condition that cannot be cured and is expected to reduce a person’s lifespan. This includes some types of cancer, as well as other conditions such as Motor Neuron Disease, Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.
