CancerCare is set to welcome dog lovers to Abbot Hall Park on 30th August 2025 for the return of Woof & Wag.
CancerCare’s Team will return to Abbot Hall Park to host their doggy-themed day out for the whole family, with dog, puppy or pack invited, too!
Running from 11am to 4pm, Woof & Wag promises to be an action-packed afternoon with a host of activities, including dog-themed games and more.
The featured event will be the dog show, which will run categories for pooches of all shapes, sizes and breeds. There will be classes and prizes for the best trick, the waggiest tail and the overall best in show among others. There will be a host of local shops and stalls, too, selling dog treats, toys and other essentials.
Last year’s event was a huge success, with the competitive dog show welcoming dozens of entries.
The event is generously sponsored by Taylor Made Dog Centre, a Kendal-based doggy day care with a difference! Taylor Made offers the highest quality care for dogs and they have won multiple business awards for their exceptional service. Their base boasts bespoke facilities including specialist exercise areas and outdoor play spaces with interactive equipment. One of their unique offerings is being able to collect and drop off dogs from their owner’s home or workplace - you can be safe in the knowledge your dog is in the best hands.
Entry is free with dog show classes being priced at £2 entry per dog.
The café and facilities at the adjacent Abbot Hall art gallery will be available to use on the day.
