Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a psychological technique which can be used as a tool to help bring about positive changes to both the mind and the body. It is nothing like the “showbusiness hypnotists” you may have seen on TV or in the theatre.
In the third of his videos, David talks about how hypnotherapy and EMDR can help people deal with negative emotions related to traumatic experiences surrounding cancer diagnosis and treatment.

What is it?
Hypnotherapy is a psychological technique which can be used as a tool to help bring about positive changes to both the mind and the body. It is nothing like the “showbusiness hypnotists” you may have seen on TV or in the theatre.
What does it involve?
When you relax your body, your mind does the same.
Hypnotherapy is the induction of a deeply calm state using progressive muscle relaxation, breathing techniques while being guided by the therapist’s voice.
There is no loss of control or awareness, only a sense of inner peace which in turn can help you cope with a range of stressful situations and experiences.
How it can help?
It can help reduce the side effects of medical treatment and related anxiety. If you are experiencing negative thoughts or depression, hypnotherapy can also provide you with coping skills you can practice on your own and help promote a more positive way of living.
