Our centre located in the heart of Barrow town centre was purpose-renovated back in 2020, to offer counselling, complementary therapy and specialist children’s services for people affected by cancer and bereavement.

Over the past two years we have had lots of exciting activities and events going on. We expanded our RE-FRESH peer support group to Barrow in the summer of 2021 which has had lots of young people get involved and meet new people, especially during the summer and winter programmes! Back in December 2021 we were chosen as charity of the year by Barrow golf club, our Area Fundraiser got to meet the club captain. In June 2022 our Hug in a Mug peer support group launched and we saw a fantastic uptake in clients and locals attend.

There’s been plenty of highlights over the past two years and we’re excited to see what the future holds for CancerCare Barrow!
