CancerCare presents The Ball on the Lake, a sublime celebration of the past year, set on the picturesque shoreline of Lake Windermere on Friday 6th March 2026.

The Ball on the Lake promises to be one of CancerCare’s biggest and best Ball events yet, owing to the stunning location of the Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa nestled on the shoreline of Lake Windermere.

On arrival, you’ll be welcomed into the Low Wood for a drinks reception. This will be followed by a three-course meal and auction with a range of unique prizes, including local experiences.

Taking to the stage to entertain our guests will be local party band The Seals so ensure your dancing shoes are packed! It wouldn’t be a CancerCare Ball without a few surprises along the way, so do prepare to expect the unexpected.

Of course, the main purpose of hosting our events is to raise vital funds so CancerCare can continue our mission of being there for local people affected by cancer, life-shortening illnesses and bereavement. It costs over £1.9m per year to keep our doors open so fundraising events as such are essential to our survival.

We have only recently launched The Ball on the Lake and we expect tickets to sell out quickly as we return this event to the South Lakes by popular demand, so I wanted to directly contact you to ensure you didn’t miss out.
