Registration for the 2026 Keswick to Barrow (K2B) and Coniston to Barrow (C2B) walks opens on 5th January, but you can pre-register with Team CancerCare now.
Be part of Team CancerCare on 9th May 2026 as we take on these ultimate charity walks that celebrate some inspirational organisations and the stunning scenery we call home.
In 2025, our walkers raised over £18,500 for CancerCare; an incredible amount that we’d like to match! We’ve been taking part in the K2B/C2B since 2017 and we’re sure next May’s walk can be bigger and better than ever.
Whether you’re a complete newbie to the world of long-distance walking, or you’re a K2B regular, we’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
What is the 2026 K2B?
The Keswick to Barrow – or K2B - is a sponsored 40-mile walk/run through some of the most glorious scenery in the world and is recognised as one of Cumbria’s most iconic walks. Along the route you will head through Grasmere and Elterwater, also passing through the Langdales, Coniston and Lowick along the way to Barrow where rest and well-earned refreshments will be waiting for you.
What is the 2026 C2B?
The Coniston to Barrow – or C2B – is a 20-mile walk designed for families and those hikers wanting to take on a shorter sponsored challenge walk.
The K2B and C2B walks are bucket-list challenges that bring the local community together while testing your own personal resilience and determination. CancerCare would love for you to join our teams, as we take steps to ensure that no one across our patch has to face the impact of cancer or bereavement alone.
If you join our team, we will support you in the lead-up to the event with hints and tips to ensure you’re fully prepared for the day. We gift all our walkers a branded t-shirt to walk in, and we will also provide a number of support tables along the route with drinks, essentials and morale support!
