We are delighted to announce that CancerCare’s 2025 Christmas Raffle has raised £6,340. We are grateful to everyone who has supported by buying tickets or spreading the word.

There could only be one winner, though, and we welcomed the lucky victor, Celia, into our centre to receive her prizes; £500 and a luxury M&S hamper!

Celia has played the CancerCare Lottery since 2018. Her daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer and received support from CancerCare.

Celia, who also attends our coffee mornings and bakes for us, said: “I chose to support the Lottery as it’s important to give back to local charities; the money is spent in our local communities. CancerCare also gave such great support to my daughter after her diagnosis.

“I was surprised and amazed to win; the hamper looks marvellous and the cheque comes just in time for Christmas. Though I have a big birthday next year so I might treat myself and my husband to couple of days away.

“Thank you CancerCare for all you do.”
