CancerCare’s 2025 Christmas Fair at Leighton Hall raised a record-breaking total of over £6,500.

Over 600 attendees were welcomed through the doors of Leighton Hall, located on Storrs Lane, Carnforth, on 3rd December.

The famed stately home was packed with festive delights offered by local businesses and traders. There was a wide selection of items to purchase, from wreaths, plants and food to handmade accessories and Christmas gifts.

CancerCare’s own woodworking group sold handcrafted items made by service users impacted by cancer and bereavement.

After browsing the stalls and enjoying a hot drink and mince pie, guests were treated to Christmas carols sung by schoolchildren from Yealand Primary School.

Mrs Susie Reynolds of Leighton Hall has hosted CancerCare’s Christmas Fair for the past 29 years and has been a long-standing supporter of the charity, which provides support to adults and children affected by cancer, life-shortening illness and bereavement.

CancerCare Event Fundraiser Lisa Lambert said: “What an incredible day. Our much-loved annual fair attracted over 600 visitors who came to kick-start their festive season, and we are so honoured to be able to host at this stunning venue.

“We are so grateful to everyone involved – it’s a collective effort that has helped us achieve a record-breaking total! Thank you to the attendees, stallholders and volunteers. As always, a huge thank you to Mrs Reynolds, who kindly supports our event by opening her home to us each year.”
