There are many benefits of hydrotherapy, including:
- Encourages muscle relaxation and improves circulation.
- Buoyancy reduces pressure on joints and muscles, eases swelling, and supports movement.
- Improves body awareness, balance and trunk stability.
- Reduces pain sensitivity, loosens tight joints and muscles and enhances flexibility.
- Helps build strength, mobility and confidence in a supportive environment.
- Creates a space with less pain and muscle stress, enabling people to take part in exercises and activities that are harder to do on land.
