The curtain may have fallen on the Barrow Operatic and Dramatic Society's wonderful version of Calendar Girls, but the production will be helping CancerCare clients for many weeks to come.

BODS used the performance to raise money for us and Chair Steve Carrick popped in to see Emma at our Duke Street centre with an amazing cheque for £1263.26!

The money was raised through a raffle and collections during the run at the Forum and it also includes money from a head shave by cast member Neil Hastings and the sale of sunflower paintings kindly donated by Samara Burns.

Around a dozen members of staff, volunteers and clients went to watch and support the production.
