The support of the local business community is invaluable to us.

Over the last two years, Morecambe Bay Wills and Estates Limited has donated £3,797 to CancerCare, including a fantastic £2,795 in 2021 - a tough year by anyone’s standards.

Last year’s donation alone has helped to fund two months of our creative group work, which enables our clients to lose themselves in the joy of art, woodwork and jewellery making.

Managing Director Nicola Combe is a former client of ours and this inspired her to use her business to become a regular supporter of the charity, donating 5% from every Will or Power of Attorney completed by the firm.

Nicola said: “CancerCare’s services got me through the tough times when I lost my husband in 2018, so this is personal for me. It’s a huge part of why I set up Morecambe Bay Wills in 2019, with a specific aim to provide affordable peace of mind, but with a charitable focus.

“Supporting CancerCare is at the heart of what we do, and I’m proud of our team’s achievements. We are committed to continuing to support their work over the coming years, and love seeing what our donations can do.”

Last year Nicola set herself a fundraising target of £1,500, which she hugely surpassed, and this year she is looking to increase her commitment with a goal of £2,500!
