What we can offer you

Keeping Good Company KGC Branding
We provide the branding for wherever you need it - such as sending you the KGC logo and related marketing materials. Be proud that you’re engaging in Corporate Social Responsibility and show your clients you support a local charity dedicated to making a real difference.

A feature in our quarterly magazine, Involve

Your business can be featured in Involve, our quarterly magazine. This is printed and distributed to the surrounding area, as well as being available digitally on our website and on social media.

KGC networking events
We host fantastic networking events featuring key speakers advising on relevant topics. It’s a brilliant opportunity to connect with local, like-minded professionals and businesses.

KGC talks for staff and clients
One of our friendly team can come along and present a bespoke session on any topics you wish, such as living with cancer, how to support colleagues facing cancer or the support services we offer.

KGC employee volunteering opportunities
There is a great range of opportunities we can offer staff who wish to contribute – anything from gardening and decorating to running a coffee morning. If there is anything else in particular that your staff would wish to help with, we are more than happy to arrange it.

KGC local and national promotion opportunities
Your support to our services affords bountiful media opportunities. We are often featured in both local and national print. We also have an active and flourishing social media presence with more than 6,000 highly engaged followers. Our average monthly reach on Facebook stands at around 15,000 – with many months reaching 30,000 people.

This provides a strong base for us to celebrate your contributions to us.
We write our own articles on our supporters which are regularly featured in a large variety of local press, which is a useful and cost-effective way of improving your corporate image.

Priority booking for teams on challenge events
KGC organisations will be notified in advance about all upcoming events and receive priority booking.

 Team Building and Employee Wellbeing

Charity events and volunteering make for excellent teambuilding, leading to a healthier and more productive workforce. We have a varied programme of events with something to suit everyone. Why not abseil, parachute jump, or Santa Dash for CancerCare! We can help facilitate your involvement with events as and when you need.

£32 pays for a one-on-one session with a professional CancerCare therapist.

£320 will pay for a whole course of treatment sessions for one person.

“I feel I wouldn’t have been able to get through the panic and fear without hypnosis and weekly support from my therapist. The kindness, warmth and support from the moment you enter the building makes everything seem a bit more manageable. Thank you CancerCare.”

£500 could pay for a year’s supply of aromatherapy oils and towels, which helps relaxation, promotes wellbeing and can reduce stress and anxiety.

“Without the help I have had to make sense of what had happened to me, I would still be lost. I feel like I am ‘me’ again and not just someone who had cancer. My counsellor is amazing! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”

£5,000 covers the cost of providing massage and
support to clients at the end of their lives in their own homes when they are too poorly to come to our centres.

“Thank you so very much for all of your care and particularly the services you offer. The warmth and welcome is unsurpassed and is so greatly appreciated. I could not have coped these past months without the care. Thank you.”

£32,000 is the cost of our Children and Young People’s Support in North Lancashire.

“Words really are not enough to express our thanks to you. You have not only helped our son but all of us as a family to get through our grief. Not being able to take away our sons pain on top of our own was so difficult, but just knowing he could come each week to talk to you, took away a huge pressure. Thank you for being part of his life, which we will never forget.”

How You Can Help

Make a one-off or regular financial donation
It costs £1.2 million to run CancerCare per year, of which 90 per cent is fundraised. A financial donation can help us to fund some of the fantastic services we offer. We’ve given an indication of the costs of our services on the page labelled ‘Services’, so if you would like to allocate your gift to a particular project, we can arrange that.

Make a one-off or regular donation of goods or services
There is a wide range of services and products CancerCare needs to operate efficiently. Additionally, we are always looking for raffle prizes and auction items to sell in our centres.

Sponsorship of an event/project/magazine
We organise a variety of fundraising events and projects throughout the year, all of which can be sponsored by local businesses. By sponsoring an event you get excellent PR and marketing opportunities.

 Sponsorship of an activity

CancerCare runs regular service groups and activities for clients, so you can choose to fund one of these for a selected period of time.

Form a ‘Charity of the Year’ partnership

By committing to a longer relationship with CancerCare you receive more opportunities to be involved and more benefits to your staff team such as employee volunteering opportunities.

Other Ways to Get Involved

Plan your own event or challenge

If there’s nothing in our events calendar that you wish to get involved with, you could always plan your own event! We have idea sheets and can provide you with guidance and help you set it up. Perhaps your staff would like to get involved individually with challenge events and you could match the sponsorship they raise?

Cause related marketing and event dedication

Boost your sales by adding an ‘on-pack’ promotion/fixed donation from the sale of specified products . One of our partners is Pizza Margherita in Lancaster who, from every sale of their ‘Paganini’ pizza, who donate a percentage to our Children and Young Persons Service (CYPS) from every sale of their ‘Paganini’ pizza.

Does your company have a monthly theme night, a new line of biscuits, a weekly coffee morning or an annual fete? You could simply link this to CancerCare as a one off or for a fixed period of time.

Signing up to a payroll giving scheme is a simple and tax-free method of allowing your employees to donate to CancerCare straight from their pay.
