Good morning from a very wet Lancaster!

IMG 2154These pictures  were taken earlier in the week at our very special event 'CancerCare: Past, Present and Future' held at Leighton Hall on Tuesday evening. The event was a great success which I feel has come at the right time for CancerCare as we re-connect with our supporters and partners and look forward together with a renewed purpose and energy . I would like to thank all the team who helped organise it.

Robert Webb, our Chairman sent me this message after the event:

"The evening went very well and our guests clearly were impressed by both our success and that we have taken the trouble to keep them informed.  I was particularly pleased that between us we managed to get a clear and positive message across, which was very well received."

We will of course be following up on our re-established contacts with a clear focus on our new three year plan. I feel very excited and motivated as we lookahead to the future.

CancerCare Vintage Pocch Parade event logo 2015In other news, preparations are well underway for the Vintage by the Sea Festival which takes place in Morecambe in September, organised by famous local designer Wayne Hemmingway. We are very honoured to be included on the festival line up again this year with the return of our very own Vintage Pooch Parade event with all proceeds being donated to CancerCare! Well, this will be my last blog for a couple of weeks as I prepare for my holidays so blogging will resume on Friday 4th September. Enjoy the bank holiday when it arrives and fingers crossed the weather improves!
