Good Morning, a week of the New Year already gone, time really does seem to go quickly.

It’s been a week of returning to work, with talks of diets, getting fit and generally looking forward to hopefully a successful and happy year for all of us both at work and at home.

Talking of getting fit, one group of friends including Anna’s partner John Beamer took on a rowing challenge, which they completed just before Christmas, raising a magnificent £2,000 for CancerCare. What a great team effort, and a super way of getting fit.The group of friends who pledged to row a million metres each for CancerCare have completed the challenge at Lancaster and Morecambe College Sports Centre.

bagpackingI would like to thank all of our volunteers and staff members who helped out at the very busy back packing sessions just before Christmas, held courtesy of our supporters at Marks and Spencer’s in Lancaster and Kendal.

A combined total of just over £3,000 was raised and a further £600 at Booths in Kirby Lonsdale via Lune Valley Rotary. Well done and thank you.

The weekend is upon us -  whatever you are doing enjoy! Neil.
